OUR SCHOOL

Çayırova Primary School is the one of the oldest primary school in our location. Our school was established under name Fatih Primary school in 1970, in Çayırova, Kocaeli. In 1973, It was separated as Fatih Primary school (Block A) and Çayırova Primary School (Block B). For a long time our school served as the first and the only secondary school in our region with a large population (approximately 3000) of students. Our school’s name changed as Çayırova Primary school to carry out eight year education program because another school in Beylikbağı was called Fatih Primary School.

 

When the increasing number of students brought about the need for a larger building, a new building of our school was built in 1983 and opened in the same year.

Our school building has two separated parts. Main building is used for education with the pupils including the classes between 1 and 8. It has ten large classrooms and six small classrooms. Other rooms are a headmaster’s room, a deputy manager’s room, a teacher’s room, counselling service room, a library with about 1500 books and learning materials, a chess room and a technology class.

The other building is served as kindergarten with three classes. There are an art class and a science laboratory in this building. There is a large hall that is used for multi-purpose (physical education, meeting, performances, exhibitions and theatre)

Our school has 81 students in three kindergarten classes, 614 students in primary classes and 346 students in secondary classes. There are twenty-one class teachers, three Turkish lesson teachers, two Math lessons, two Science and Technology teachers, two ELT Teachers, two Social Science teachers, one Computer lesson teacher, one Art and Design lesson teacher in our staff.

In our school, our pupils have the opportunity to attend computer, theatre, folkloric dance, chess and sport courses. On the other hand, poetry recitals, theatre, exhibitions and projects are made in every year.

Our mission as the Çayırova Primary School in keeping with Atatürk ‘s principles is to rise students who are benefit their society, integrate their identity with cultural heritage, learn throughout  life, through their own experiences, know the importance learning other languages, nature a principled, self-confidence and successful self-view, think globally.

Our educational policy is following our gorgeous founder Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK in Turkish Education System. Our principle is our student’s academic, social, artistic, and emotional development to the highest level; and also is to give every student the same opportunities to employ modern teaching techniques which respect individuality.
